Theatre Journal congratulates Judith Hamera. Her essay, “Rehearsal Problems: Gus Giordano, The Rehearsal, and the Critical Utility of Forgotten Dance Triumphs,” Theatre Journal 71.2 (June 2019), pp. 171-189, won Honorable Mention for the 2020 ATHE Outstanding Article Award. The essay also won the 2020 Dance Studies Association Gertrude Lippincott award for the best English-language article published in dance studies. The essay was edited by E.J. Westlake. Judith Hamera is a Professor of Dance and American Studies at Princeton University.
